IRIS 3.2.3

Important! You must have OS administrator privileges to upgrade the IRIS software.

Program files are saved in the following locations (which required read/write permission):

  1. Main installation folder for IRIS software
  2. ...\Windows\System32
  3. ...\Program Files\Common Files\medi.com
  4. Additionally Windows registry is modified.

Upgrading to the new IRIS version is a process that can not be undo later, so please read the following changes carefully and accept any inconvenience.

    • Update SDK CANON EOS to version 3.6.30.
    • Manuals were updated for 1300D camera.

  7. HL-7 - bug fixing. The most important fixed problems:
    • HL-7 Settings -> "external IRIS services" window - problem with deleting has been removed.
    • Improving the login system and removing the problem with entries longer than 500 characters.
    • Removing a problem with the OBX.16 field - it may have one less nesting after the change.
  8. Camera devices -> Settings - type of photos "without changes" automatically blocked image modifications - added information on the screen why it is like that.
  9. DICOM Import - after installing new images are added to an existing visit by default.
  10. Other minor bugs were fixed.
  11. All changes released earlier in the ver. 3.2.3.25 - update1, update2 and update3.

2017-11-06 (Ver. 3.2.3.25 - update3) - available for selected customers

  1. Support for DinoLite camera for microscopes and other devices.

2017-08-28 (Ver. 3.2.3.25 - update2) - available for selected customers

  1. HL-7 - new functionalities.

    The most important changes in this module:

    • Automatic filling "sending form" with default data.
    • Prevent sending data without a completed "sending form".
    • New option to send images (reports) as: URL^Image in the OBX.3 field.
    • New option to disable the sending of R and M characters in OBX.4 (instead of it the number is sent).
    • Support for new type of OBX segment with data about the ICD9 procedures.
    • Support for sending files as BASE64.
  2. Other minor bugs were fixed.

2017-07-31 (Ver. 3.2.3.25 - update1) - available for selected customers

  1. CANON EOS SDK - support for Canon EOS 1300D.

  1. Automatic backup for database and all data (requires additional license).
  2. Archive functionality have been updated and separated (now available in IRIS Settings).
  3. IRIS Ophthalmology - support for new Perimeter devices.

    New devices were added:

    • Optopol PTS 920 and 925 series and newest.
    • Optopol PTS 1000 and 2000 series and newest.
    • Any device started with command line where examination report is exported on the end.
  4. General interview and USG obstetric examination were modified.

  1. Support for DVI2USB and WebCam video cards.
  2. IRIS Endoscopy - support for new washer machines via COM.
  3. Printing (print settings) - fixed problem with printing on the wrong paper size.
  4. Improved problem for small thumbnail creation when the thumbnail panel height was reduced.

  1. Support for Canon EOS 760D with Live View was added.
  2. SDK for all Canon cameras was updated to version 3.5.0 (Windows 7/8.1/10).
  3. IRIS Endoscopy - English version was added for examination form.
  4. IRIS Schedule - minor bugs were fixed (refreshing current view for rooms).
  5. IRIS Settings - added possibility to remove the password for other users by user with the appropriate permissions.

2016-08-31 (Ver. 3.2.3.22) - available after validation on 2016-09-30

  1. IRIS RC/SL - support for DICOM functionality was added.
  2. DICOM - support for Worklist via TCP/IP was added (communication with DICOM PACS).
  3. DICOM - support for lossless compression was added.
  4. DICOM - support for automatic export images was added with "only key images" option.
  5. IRIS Endoscopy - fixed problems with the blocking of the head.
  6. IRIS Schedule - optimization of communication with database.
  7. IRIS Schedule - new privileges to block planned terms and remove blockers.
  8. Referral for examination - new was added for histopathology.
  9. Referral for examination - number of the register book was added.
  10. NHF - automatic checking if the patient is insured.
  11. XP compatibility mode and run as an administrator is now cleared for the main EXE file during installation. It is no needed any more.

2016-07-31 (Ver. 3.2.3.21)

  1. NHF - set of changes to keep better communication with Poland NHF.
  2. HL-7 - set of changes to integrate with Polish Kamsoft system.
  3. Support for DVI2USB 3.0 grabber (correct resolution according to the specification).
  4. The ability to display Patient list for today (schedule) and the list of all patients at the same time on the screen (Specialisation and Assistant).
  5. DICOM - common settings for DICOM output (one for the station, and not for each user).
  6. Polish manuals have been updated.
  7. Other minor bugs were fixed.

2016-06-06 (Ver. 3.2.3.20)

  1. DICOM - added possibility to configure many types of export (output) to the DICOM file (*.DCM).
  2. DICOM - Fixed problems with export to a DICOM file in the IRIS RC/SL Software.
  3. Security - log-in module has been extended to a wide list of configurable rules to define passwords and enhance security. The three main areas are described below:

    a) Password strength:

    • Can be defined a minimum password length.
    • Can be defined the number of uppercase and lowercase characters.
    • Can be defined obligation to use numbers and special characters.

    • Export list of examinations (counted by NHF) to CSV file accepted by Kamsoft.

    New functionality is available in the IRIS Administration in the "Export data" part.

  4. SMS/Email module - name of day of week can be added (Monday, Tuesday, etc.).
  5. MotionJPEG is supported for the UC-21 videocolposcope.
  6. Libraries for HD AVerMedia video cards were updated.
  7. Patients on the patient list can have different colours for VIP (green), ATT(red), etc. It is possible to add own status with different colours.
  8. Disease History - user can filter printout by leading doctors.

  1. Support for Canon 50D and 70D with Live View were added.
  2. Support for Canon 100D without Live View was added.
  3. SDK for all Canon cameras was updated to version 2.15 (now it works only on Windows 7 or higher).
  4. Bug for fast switching camera profiles was fixed (5898).
  5. Problem with loading device serial number was fixed (now several Canon cameras can work in parallel correctly - e.g. two 50D).
  6. Support for new HD AVerMedia video cards was added (including USB 3.0 external cards).
  7. Loading *.mp4 files from external devices and conversion to the internal format were added.
  8. Other minor bugs and manuals were updated.

  1. Logo, name and address were changed for the medi.com Sp. z o.o. company.
